Event Details:
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) constitute a large share of enterprises along the North-South Economic Corridor (NSEC). They are the major sources of employment and income in the provinces/cities along the corridor. However, SMEs need to be more competitive to survive and grow in the present liberalized and digital era. One main reason for SMEs’ non-competitiveness nature is their inability to access and analyze right kind of information for business decision-making.
In this regard, a Structured Learning Visit (SLV) Cum Business Matching along the NSEC will be organized by the MI from 3 April to April 9 2015. The event is part of the project on Enhancing Provincial and Local Chambers of Commerce Capacities in Trade and Investment Facilitation along the GMS North-South Economic Corridor (R3A & R3B). This project is sponsored by the ASEAN-China Cooperation Fund (ACCF).
The event will target at leading agro-exporters and importers, business owners, middle-to-senior level management in the agro-industries. The participants will have business matching and visit leading businesses/companies, trade promotion agencies and other relevant stakeholders in Chiangrai (Thailand), Maesai ( Thailand), Houayxay (Laos), Luang Namtha ( Laos), Boten ( Laos), Tachilek (Myanmar), Mohan (China), Jinghong ( China), Pu’er (China) and Kunming (China).
